Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of 14. Aspen Ladd started training in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing, and wrestling prior to her debut as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd was on a stunning three-fight winning streak in Ultimate Reno Combat. In all three, she finished her opponent right in the first round. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and swept her away in unanimous decision to put an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd was victorious in her subsequent fight in a fight with Roma Pawelek to improve to an 8-1 record. Aspen made her professional debut in 2015 and signed with Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011, and was victorious by first-round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen used the superior techniques she learned from wrestling to take on McGill. Aspen ended her fight via an KO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen was then able to take on Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however Aspen took the victory and defeated Hoy via TKO. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her final match with the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She dominated Lina as she ground-and-pound hit her for the TKO win in the second round. She remained dominant and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd beat Evinger with a punch during the first round and was awarded the performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC, a rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and Lee the fight was between Sijara-Eubanks for her first significant fight. The two fights were one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. She came back to finish Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. In her recent fight for the UFC she fought Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. It was a loss by unanimous decision.
