Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee of a plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Michael, Kelly and Patrick, are three of her siblings. Stone began the second grade at just five. Stone was said as being academically gifted. In 1975 she was a graduate of Saegertown high school located in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). The Miss Pennsylvania beauty competition saw Stone win Miss Crawford County. Stone was able to move with her aunt from New Jersey, where she pursued a career in modeling. The following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. While in Europe, she spent a full year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone unhappy with the model world in Europe decided to take up acting in Europe. She was 20 when she appeared in the Woody Allen film "Stardust Memories," that received mixed praises.
